Overview

  • To make Chemical Factories, Petroleum Industries, Municipal Corporations, Government and common Citizens aware of the presence of Harmful Gases around them which lead to increase in several diseases and sometimes result in deaths.

Problem

  • In the past 3 decades, there have been at least 10 incidents of harmful gas leakages in India. In such tragedies, thousands of people have lost their lives and many of them have got severely injured.
  • With 27,027 deaths, every fifth fire-related death in the world in 2017 took place in India. Around 9 million fire incidents and 1.2 lakh deaths were recorded across the globe that year.
  • Indian Parliament's panel on petroleum and natural gas has registered its concern on deaths due to LPG gas leakage and blasts due to leakage. In 2017-18, LPG blasts claimed at least 260 lives. In the first six months of the year 2018-19, a little over 100 deaths were reported.
  • There is lack of Fire Safety Procedures which should include detection of fire in its very early stage. By the time the authorities get to know about the Fire, the fire usually covers a big area which leads to damage of lives and valuable assets.
  • In most of the metropolitan cities, the Air Quality Index is getting higher day by day. Everyday the Air is getting polluted by the pollutants emitted by thousands of Vehicles and Industrial Areas which leads to critical health issues to people.

Offered Solution

  • Viliso Technology is a technology-driven company in the field of IoT. Viliso has provided a solution to detect presence of harmful gases with their levels on a continuous basis. The solution involves an electronic device known as Vayuvedh and a Mobile & Web application. The device requires internet connection and monitors the presence of harmful gases as well as other elements like Particulate Matters and Volatile Organic Compounds in the air.
    It transmits the data to mobile & web app through cloud server. The device is fitted in the premises where the monitoring of Air Quality is required. The device then sends the data to mobile app & web app which are used by the monitoring authority. Mobile app and web app both have facility to display the data of gases like Carbon Monoxide, Sulphur Dioxide, Carbon Dioxide, Nitrogen Dioxide, Hydrogen Sulphide, Ozone and other elements like Temperature, Humidity, LPG/LNG, Smoke and TVOC.
    The app also allows the users to view historical data in Hourly, Daily, Weekly and Monthly Graphical display format. Instant alerts are generated on mobile app, if any of the parameters cross the given threshold values. In this case, timely alerts are sent to respective authorities so the appropriate action and preventive measures can be taken. Alert based system can help to save lives of people and valuable assets which get damaged due to above mentioned problems.
