Green man of Ludhiana: How an IRS officer’s efforts are beating air pollution menace, promoting sustainability

Speaking exclusively to Timesnownews.com, green crusader Rohit Mehra discussed a range of topics, including his thoughts on how to protect the environment. In the winters of 2017, an eight-year-old boy showed an inspiring path to his father Rohit Mehra, Additional Commissioner in the Income Tax Department.
With a broad smile on his face, junior Mehra told his father that his school had declared holidays due to high level of air pollution. For the father, it was a matter of great concern and unlike others, he attempted to reduce the pollutants causing alarming damage to the Air Quality Index (AQI).
Mehra single-handedly set up more than 500 vertical gardens at public places and created 85 mini forests ranging between 2,000 square feet to four acres.
